Which is a better holiday destination – Fuerteventura or Madeira?
Question by BrianO: Which is a better holiday destination – Fuerteventura or Madeira?
Might be going to either next summer. How do they compare in terms of watersports (especially snorkelling), nightlife, scenery, cultural attractions, accomodation, excursions etc. Definitely not going on family holiday if you’re wondering!!!!

Fuerteventura is a volcanic island and weather is hot.
I think Canary Island are better than Madeira. Some islands like Gran Canaria,Tenerife,etc.. have a lot of nightlife and people is so warm.

Madeira is more of an older persons type of holiday choice. Scenery is good, walking along levada’s and accommodation are the best points. No beaches! Nether have what you could call cultural attractions, or much in the way of excursions. Fuerteventura has miles of fantastic sandy beaches, nightlife in Corralejo (in the north), and Jandia (in the south); wind surfing is also a big attraction.
