Egypt or Fuerteventura?
Question by vickibruce2002: Egypt or Fuerteventura?
ok so im getting married in June and we were going to go to Fuerteventura for our honeymoon, until my fiance thought maybe we should go to egypt instead?!
Something is stopping me wanting to go to Egypt but im not sure what! I wanted to go on a boat trip in Fuerteventura to see dolphins but i could swim with them in Egypt.
A few people have said there isn’t a lot to do in Fuerteventura but was wondering if anyone had been to both places and their views on each.

Fuerteventura to Lanzarote ferry?

by
Question by Jonathan: Fuerteventura to Lanzarote ferry?
Hi all
In August im heading to Fuerteventura, staying at the resort of Caleta de fuste.
We have decided that we would like to spend a day in Lanzarote! Could somebody
advise me of the cheapest way of getting there from Caleta de fuste.
I’ve done a little bit of research and the cheapest way I have found is to get a taxi or bus to Corralejo and then catch the ferry over to lanzarote. however for 3 of us the ferry fare is 113 euro return (not including the taxi cost to/from corralejo.) Just wondered if anyone knows of a cheaper way of getting to lanzarote from Caleta de fuste (for example are they any boat trips there, or is the car ferry the only option)
Any advice would be great

Hi Jonathan,
There are 2 officials companies of ferries for the trip Lanzarote (Play Blanca) to Fuerteventura (Corralejo) :
Armas (the cheapest) : http://www.navieraarmas.com/en/home
Fred Olsen (the fastest) : http://fredolsen.es/en-us/
There is also a new & lot cheaper daily ferry by Lineas Maritimas Romero : http://videocosta.com/

Mount Teide in Tenerife or Mountain of Fire in Lanzarote?
Question by moosebaby: Mount Teide in Tenerife or Mountain of Fire in Lanzarote?
We are going on a cruise in April and can afford to go on just one of these half-day trip options: treking around Mount Teide in Tenerife or Los Volcanes Nature Park in Lanzarote. Has anyone done both of these and can suggest the better option?
Best answer:
Answer by James P
Yes. Personally I would choose Los Volcanes: the formations left in the soldified lava are amazing, you can feel the warmth in the ground, and they’ll chuck a bucket of water down a borehole for you with spectacular result. Mount Teide is pretty, and there is an area of unusual rock formations there too (they filmed Planet of the Apes there), but not as interesting in my view.
Still, it’s a shame you can’t do both, having cruised all that way.

where is hot and cheap in december?
Question by Gemma: where is hot and cheap in december?
me and my boyfriend are looking to go away in December for his birthday. ideally we want it to be quite hot, i know Africa, Mexico, Cuba etc are really hot but they are also quite expensive. we have been looking at the canary islands and on average its about 15-22 degrees which is not boiling but much hotter than here. Has anyone been to Spain or anywhere else that is cheap and hotish. i wanna spend around 380 each or less??
Thanks

Answer by Gerry Attrick.
Realistically, the Canaries are your best option, at that price. Check out the late deals. Although the temperature can be in the mid twenties, sometimes strong winds make it feel a bit chilly. Look for accommodation with poolside facilities, as it will be sheltered.

Holiday to Fuerteventura?
Question by Rina Roy: Holiday to Fuerteventura?
We are going on a family holiday to Fuerteventura in august and will be staying in Caleta De Fuste. Can anyone recommend things to see and do while we are out there in Caleta De Fuste and around the island.
Best answer:
Answer by kittyCat
We have been to Fuerteventura twice and enjoyed both holidays. The first time, about 5 years ago we stayed in Caleta de Fuste, and the second time, last year, we stayed in the bigger town of Corralejo. They are really child friendly and we were able to take our kids with us everywhere we went, at any hour of the day. A great holiday and would recommend to anyone. There is a great excursion to Lanzarote (boat trip etc) but to be honest we found enough around the resorts to keep us busy! Also, the day trip to Corralejo is worth a visit for the shops for pressies back home. Digital cameras and Sony PSP are really good value. We got great deal on a camera and saved about 200 euros. Enjoy it!!
Caleta de Fuste has been developed massively since I and littlebear have been there, so don’t be worried! You could check out tripadvisor.com which has great real life reviews of resorts and hotels etc,
